Churdan Day a success

Churdan was buzzing with a celebration of the town last Saturday, June 15.  It was a full day with walkers and runners starting the morning with a 5k.  A parade, 3v3 basketball tournament, car show, vendor show, sand volleyball tournament, kids games including big wheel races and inflatables, music from the Town & Country Band and more filled the day.

In the evening the event concluded with a street dance featuring the Shuffle Couple.  It was a great day and Churdan looks forward to celebrating with all in the future!

The Churdan Day planning committee and the Churdan firemen thanked the volunteers who helped throughout the day and the following organizations for their support: United Bank of Iowa; NEW Cooperative; Iowa Pork Producers; Churdan Lions Club; Triple J Customs, LLC; Towers Farm; Wahl-McAtee Tire & Service; Guess Electric; Lynx Ag; AAI/Spalding; Legacy Events; Founders Insurance; Dennis Smidt; Wyffel Hybrids by Nate Byerly; and Minnehan Ag;

A Big Wheel race was part of the fun at Churdan Day.
